The video game “Cures & Curios” is set in the Weird Old West and is a virtual reality game for the HTC Vive. The player is a medicine show cart attendant in the small town of Pueblo Pequeño who must make a variety of potions for the locals each day. As the player’s potion-making skills grow, they unlock new recipes, ingredients, tools, and rewards. The player’s ultimate goal is to please the Beast, the mysterious figure who brought them back from the edge of death and forced them into servitude.
