The player controls a submerged drone as it explores a bioluminescent ocean. The player must avoid obstacles and solve puzzles to progress. The game culminates in a confrontation with a creature that has been stalking the player throughout the game.
Biolum is a 30 minute narrative experience with light interactivity. The player takes on the role of Rachel, a scientific researcher, who is guided by expedition leader Eva, a renowned marine scientist. Together, they explore the depths of the ocean to discover the secrets of a bioluminescent VR underworld. However, as they uncover the truths of this strange world, they realize that nothing is as it seems. The beautiful bioluminescence is wreaking havoc on the natural ecosystems, and Rachel is infected by a luminescent parasite. As she fights for her mind and body, she must uncover the mysteries of this world before it’s too late.
