The world of space exploration has inspired many to reach for the stars and today Women in Spaceflight is taking this inspiration to the next level. Felix & Paul Studios, producers of Emmy® Award-winning series Space Explorers, have announced the launch of their new initiative which will celebrate women in space. Featuring highlights from their award winning show such as conversations with astronauts, interviews with flight directors, visits to mission control centers and cutting edge immersive content experiences that take viewers inside the journey – it’s a celebration never before seen!
This empowering program aims at paying tribute to women pioneers who’ve helped blaze a trail for future advancements in space exploration by providing unparalleled insight into what they faced while taking part in missions. Women featured include Jessica Meir during her first spacewalk on board the International Space Station (December 2019) Nicola Stott’s commanding role at NASA Mission Control Center Johannesburg (January 2021). These are only two examples out of many inspiring stories available through this initiative. The hope is that Women in Spaceflight will serve both as an educational platform providing key knowledge about our lives beyond Earth and an inspiring resource showcasing true accomplishments made possible by female explorers over years past – preserving them forever within the annals of time.
