Skydance Interactive recently announced that the sequel to their popular The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners title, Chapter 2: Retribution, will soon be leaving its timed exclusivity on Quest and available for purchase across multiple VR platforms starting March 21st. Not only will this allow more players to experience the game since they won’t have to own a specific platform just to play it, but cross-platform transfers will also be enabled so that those who already own it can keep their saves intact even when switching devices.
The sequel’s launch price is set at $40 across SteamVR and PSVR 2, with owners of those versions getting an in-game weapon called ‘The Orphan’ upon release. Meanwhile PS4 owners with the original Saints & Sinners can upgrade for free – no new purchases necessary! Additionally Skydance will provide users from Meta/Pico platforms access to a demo version until February 6th before then deciding if they want the full product or not.
