SimX has been selected by the United States Space Force to develop a virtual reality training program for astronaut recovery and space launch missions. The program, run on HTC VIVE Focus 3 VR headset, enables more frequent and effective training for Combat Rescue Officers, flight surgeons, and Pararescuemen through medical scenarios based on Pre-Hospital Space Medicine Care Course (PHSMCC). It is also valuable when responding to contingencies in Human Space Flight operations. Additionally, SimX will continue expanding the program with additional scenarios in consideration of the commercial space flight sector. With VALOR project taking its place in history as a major breakthrough development in VR medical simulation training, there are many opportunities ahead to explore what can be done with this technology.
