17-Bit has announced the upcoming release of their survival game Song in the Smoke: Rekindled, a remaster specifically designed for PlayStation VR 2. This reimagined version promises to be an “ultimate edition” with tons of new polish and features requested by users. They are working on getting cross-buy support between Rekindled and the original PSVR release, but this remains unconfirmed at present.
Our review praised the game’s haunting beauty and admiration for its ecosystem and otherworldly heritage when it was released in 2021, eventually being named Best PSVR Game in that year’s UploadVR Awards. Available now on PC VR via Steam or Oculus Rift as well as Meta Quest platform and PlayStation VR, Song In The Smoke: Rekindled launches February 22nd exclusively on PSVR2.
