Mark Zuckerberg recently dropped some big news about the upcoming Oculus Quest 3! In an earnings call, Zuckerberg confirmed that the VR headset will feature Meta Reality technology, allowing for color passthrough in mixed reality. With pancake lenses and a depth sensor, it’s already shaping up to be quite the device. One of its biggest improvements is something you can’t see on schematics — utilizing next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chips for improved GPU performance. The pricepoint is predicted to be around $300-$500 depending on model (similar to Quest 2).
