Sony is now offering preorders of their Playstation VR2 headset worldwide without the need for an invitation. This comes at a time when demand could be lower than what Sony expected due to inaccurate forecasts and rising inflation in electronics.
The PSVR 2 offers several upgrades compared to the first version, such as one USB-C cable connection, onboard cameras for tracking, and higher resolution high dynamic range displays with wider field of view lenses. All together these features come together to create a more immersive experience that will include titles like Horizon Call Of The Mountain and Resident Evil Village upon launch.
Despit some potential uncertainty about sales figures Sony is confident in their product and are planning on having over two million units ready by March 2021.
