Meta, an immersive Virtual Reality metaverse is giving its users the ability to create and moderate their own virtual communities with the introduction of members-only worlds. This new capability will enable a select group of users to share exclusive VR content only accessible by those invited to access each world. With up to 150 members per world, participants can take part in activities such as book groups, support groups and more – all while being moderated by trusted individuals who set their own rules for these closed spaces. Additionally, Meta has also announced that Horizon Worlds will be expanding beyond VR devices like Quest 2 or Quest Pro onto the web and mobile devices so that everyone can join in on the fun. An ongoing alpha test for member-only worlds will ensure creators have what they need for proper management and growth.
