Gorilla Tag, the free-to-play VR multiplayer hit by Another Axiom, is a massive success story for VR developers. From February 2021 to its graduation to the full Quest store in December of 2020 it made over $26 million from in-app purchases on App Lab alone – an incredible amount for any game. By November 2021, Gorilla Tag had reached 1.5 million players who purchased cosmetic items and it continues to grow with each month reaching up to 2.3 million peak monthly user counts and 760,000 users playing Gorila Day on Christmas Day 2022.
Speaking about its successful achievement COO David Yee commented that “The hardware is already amazing at what it can do.
