If you’re a fan of Dance Dance Revolution and looking for something new, the upcoming Game Developer Conference is definitely worth checking out. Rebuff Reality will be there to showcase their new virtual reality rhythm game called Dance Dash – a game that requires syncing your stomps up with high-energy dance songs for top scores.
Dance Dash stands out from other VR rhythm games because it uses special TrackStrap technology that straps controllers to your legs so you can skip, duck and jump while avoiding virtual traps by using motions similar to those in DDR games. Plus, when playing in FBT mode — alongside additional VIVE trackers — optional targets like slapping or punching get into the equation as well.
Additionally, players are immersed even more with a digital crowd that reacts to performaces based on real-time reactions – plus create custom beat maps using the free editor or importing avatars from services such as Ready Player Me available. The developers continuously look forward introducing leg tracking on Playstation VR and Quest Pro along supporting hand-tracking down the line too! And don’t forget – stay tuned until a Kickstarter campaign launches soon !
