Games your kids can play too!

If you are like me then you grew up playing video games your whole life. Maybe your parents didn’t care what you were playing but now that you have kids of your own, you might be checking out the game titles a little more closely. It seems like it is getting harder and harder to find good family friendly VR games for kids. There is an endless flood of new shooting games and zombie thrillers, but you probably don’t want your kids playing those. At least not yet.

If you have kids or a kid-like spirit like myself, you’re going to want to check out these kid-friendly titles. We have compiled a list of the best VR games we found that are fun for both adults and kids alike!

VR The Diner Duo

VR The Diner Duo is a fun and challenging restaurant management game where one player can play as the Chef and another as a waiter serving customers. Local multiplayer makes this especially fun if you have multiple kids that want to play at the same time. Race against the clock and cook the food that the customers want and get it to them fast! A really amazing indie game that is enjoyable for the entire family. The game is available on HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and PlayStation VR.

Fruit Ninja

Fruit Ninja is that fun and addicting fruit-slicing mobile game reborn into a juicy VR experience. Hack and slash flying fruit for some great exercise and entertainment. This one does use weapons to slice the fruit so it might not be for everyone but is definitely way better than some of the alternatives. Available on PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift.

Moss™

Moss is a very highly rated single-player adventure puzzle VR game for all ages. Play as an adorable mouse with some great storytelling, compelling characters, and immersive virtual reality. This is truly a fantastic game that includes amazing visuals, fun puzzles, and gripping combat. Available on PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift.

Fail Factory

Fail Factory is a wonderfully fun, cute, and unique action puzzle game. Play as a factory worker in training to accomplish challenging tasks that deal with entertaining physics. Advance through increasingly challenging levels as you prove yourself useful in the factory. Currently available for Oculus Go and Samsung Gear VR.

Bait!

Bait! is a casual fishing game for Oculus Go. This game offers a cute aesthetic and fun gameplay. I personally spent quite a few hours checking out the different lakes and catching the right fish to earn some money and buy better fishing equipment. If you have the Oculus Go, I definitely recommend checking this title out.

Minecraft

We couldn’t make a kids vr games list without including this classic favorite, Minecraft. Now featuring a VR edition you can play this family favorite on your favorite headset. Oculus Go is not officially supported but you can sideload the game and still play on the standalone headset. Officially available on Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality, and Samsung Gear VR.

Tetris Effect

The classic retro Tetris game is now on VR. This title is full of absolutely stunning visuals and fun original immersive and addicting gameplay. This is possibly the most popular puzzle game of all time and if you loved Tetris growing up, you must check it out in VR. Currently available on PlayStation VR.

Astro Bot Rescue Mission

Astro Bot Rescue Mission is a game that some might buy a PlayStation VR for just to play and possibly the best PSVR game to date. Very highly rated and a delightful VR platformer game, you can play and help Astro save his buddies! Charming, full of surprises, and plays like a Nintendo platformer. You definitely don’t want to miss this one. Currently available on PlayStation VR.

Along Together

Along together is an adorable game where you play as a kid’s imaginary friend helping to find your friend’s lost dog. Guide your friend through the world and use your imagination to solve puzzles and advance through the adventure. Definitely a good choice for both adults and kids and is currently available on all VR headsets – PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, Oculus Rift, Oculus Go, Lenovo Mirage Solo, Google Daydream, and Samsung Gear VR.

Fantastic Contraption

Fantastic Contraption is an incredibly fun and creative game for everyone who loves building stuff! Play on a floating island building surreal contractions to solve puzzles and get to the other side. Be an engineer in this amazing and immersive game that is fun for the whole family. Available on HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, Oculus Rift, and PlayStation VR.
