The extended reality adaptation of the popular party game, Among Us, has officially achieved record-breaking success. Developed by Innersloth, Schell Games, and Robot Teddy and released in November 2020 across Quest 2 and SteamVR headsets for $10 each, it has sold over 1 million copies in less than ten weeks on just two platforms alone. The VR version promises an experience that replicates the original’s team-based betrayal while playing aboard a ‘spaceship’, plus there are plans to include more maps and settings in future updates as well as improved accessibility features such as voice chat moderation. And the stats back up its success; Since launch it’s been played over 4 million times by 122 countries with 44 thousand matches per day collectively clocking 89 million minutes!! A PSVR 2 version is also arriving on February 22nd this year.
